Ezine advertising is one often overlooked in favour of search engines, classified ads,
and other online promotion methods. But advertising in ezines is extremely effective:
because ezines typically cater to a certain group of people, your ad reaches thousands of
subscribers who have an interest in your offer ...
... Which, in turn leads to a much higher response rate - in other words, more sales!
While a well-written ad placed in an ezine can increase your profits significantly, keep in
mind that your ad exposure is extremely important! Make sure your ad is placed somewhere
where people are likely to read it. The best ad exposures are:
Top of the ezine, by itself.
Bottom of the ezine, by itself.
In between articles, by itself (are you getting the common thread here? :-) )
No one reads those ads that are sandwiched in with 20 or 50 others ... ! So try and
get your ad by itself, or with no more than 3 others in the same section. AND -
this is important! - make sure the ezine will not run a competing ad for your product
in the same newsletter.
